Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern access to and use of the Meval web-based tool ("Service") provided by HEBES Intelligence. The Service enables registered users to perform measurement and verification (M&V) of energy savings in buildings through data analysis, modeling, and reporting tools.

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

Use of the Service requires the creation of a registered user account.

You agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
• Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials
• Be responsible for all activity under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

The Service provides tools for:

• Uploading and managing building-related data
• Uploading and processing sensor and meter time-series data
• Running analytical models for energy performance evaluation
• Generating reports, insights, and verification results related to energy savings

The Service may use automated algorithms and machine learning models to process user-provided data and generate outputs.

The Service may generate:

• Energy savings calculations
• Verification results
• Models and model parameters
• Reports and visualizations

Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

• You retain rights to outputs generated specifically for your use
• We retain rights to underlying platform technology, algorithms, and generic models

Outputs are provided for informational purposes and may not be used as the sole basis for financial, regulatory, or legal decisions.

We store:

• User account data
• Uploaded datasets
• Derived analytical results
• System logs necessary for operation and security

Data is retained for as long as necessary to provide the Service or as required by law.

We may delete inactive accounts and associated data after reasonable notice.

You agree not to:

• Upload unlawful, harmful, or infringing content
• Attempt to reverse engineer, exploit, or disrupt the Service
• Introduce malicious code or attempt unauthorized access
• Misrepresent data or results produced by the Service
• Use the Service in violation of applicable laws or regulations

We may restrict or terminate access if misuse is detected.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data, including:

• Access controls and authentication mechanisms
• Encryption in transit where applicable
• Secure storage of sensitive information

However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We aim to keep the Service available and operational but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

We may:

• Modify or update features
• Suspend service for maintenance
• Discontinue parts of the Service with reasonable notice

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available."

We do not guarantee:

• Accuracy of energy savings calculations or models
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Regulatory compliance of generated results

Users are responsible for validating outputs before use in critical decisions.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:

• Indirect or consequential damages
• Loss of data or profits
• Decisions made based on Service outputs

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you (if any) for use of the Service in the preceding 12 months.

All software, algorithms, interfaces, and documentation remain the property of HEBES Intelligence or its licensors.

No rights are granted except as explicitly stated in these Terms.

We may suspend or terminate access if:

• You violate these Terms
• Required by law or regulation
• Necessary to protect the integrity of the Service

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Greece, without regard to conflict of law principles.
