The SRI indicator

The Smart Readiness Indicator (SRI) is a European Commission initiative that measures a building's ability to use smart technologies. These technologies aid in decarbonisation, while also offering more comfortable and efficient living environments.

The smartness of a building refers to its ability to sense, interpret, communicate and actively respond in an efficient manner to changing conditions in relation to the operation of technical building systems, the external environment and the demands from building occupants.

Quantify your expectations for the impact of planned efficiency upgrades

Gain access to a well-defined workflow for analyzing a building's energy consumption, and estimating the impact of user-defined sets of efficiency upgrade measures.

Energy Savings Estimation

A continuously updated AI-based model estimates the impact of applying energy efficiency upgrades in buildings. Buildings are defined by the characteristics of their technical systems and a time-series of their actual energy consumption.

Customizable Scenarios

Users can create upgrade scenarios and compare their impact. Scenarios are defined as HVAC and onsite energy generation technologies to be installed in a building, as well as sensor and control capabilities of these technologies.

Analytics & Reporting

Estimate occupancy, identify energy consumption patterns and detect outliers in the energy consumption of a building. Generate reports to support investment decisions on efficiency upgrades.

The Meval tool has been created in the framework of the SRI2MARKET project. It is developed and maintained by HEBES Intelligence.

The SRI2MARKET project is funded by the LIFE Clean Energy Transition program to improve the knowledge and capabilities of EU Member States with regards to the introduction of the SRI in their national regulation and market.

HEBES Intelligence offers commercial tools and white-label services for the measurement and verification of energy efficiency gains from building system upgrades, including non-routine event detection and automatic correction.
